While learning new language (Japanese), I stumbled upon an interesting wooden puzzle named Japanese Ring Puzzle. Well, I was skeptical at first about a story of a 70+ years old man (Akihara) who had spent 10 years to solve that very puzzle. The video was both entertaining and educational. I urge you to watch it ’til the end.
Then, I decided to do some researches and found out the original manufacturer (here: https://japaneseringpuzzle.com). There are a lot of counterfeit and copycat competitors though. In my attempts to learn more about Japanese culture, I grabbed 2 of the puzzles with free international delivery to my home in Helsinki. One was for me, and the other was for my little brother.

In fact, I didn’t learn much Japanese from the Japanese Ring Puzzle itself, but I enjoyed those Japanese people in the video very much. Also, I really admire the creator behind the puzzle because solving it is indeed difficult.
If you love brainteasers and look for some inspirations to learn Japanese, I wholeheartedly recommend you to buy and share this puzzle to your friends, and even enemies. You love to see them waste 10 years, don’t you?
